19 Bizarre Gaming Related Incidents.

I Love My Games But This Is What Happens When Gaming Is Taken Too Far.

With so many discussions flooding the online highway I researched a little more into gaming related incidents, and what I found was just a list of tragic and bizarre incidents which are connected with video game obsession. Although I do not believe video games were to blame in any of these incidents I do believe some people just should not be parents.

1: 30 year old man dies in Guangzhou China after playing video games continuously for three days straight.

2: A young Chinese boy in Tianjin, aged thirteen threw himself from the top of a twenty-four story building. He left suicide notes regarding his addiction to video games, which stated he hoped to meet three gaming friends in the afterlife.

3: During March 2005, BBC reported a murder in Shanghai. Qiu Chengwei stabbed fellow player Zhu Caoyuan who sold a 'Dragon Saber Sword' he had lent in Legend Of Mir 3.

4: Februrary 2012, a gamer was found dead facing a computer after gaming for 23 hours straight eating and drinking nothing.

5: July 2012, an 18 year old gamer named Chuang died after playing 40 hours of Diablo 3 in an internet cafe in Tainan.

5: 2005, Seugnseob Lee played in an Internet cafe and played StarCraft for fifty hours straight. His friend said "He was a game addict, we all knew about it, he couldn't stop himself"

6:2009, Kim Sa-rang, who was only 3 months old passed away from malnutrition after both her parents ignored her for hours each day in an internet cafe raising a virtual child on second life.

7 : Februrary 2002, a Louisiana woman attempted to sue Nintendo because her son passed away after suffering seizures after constant hours of gaming on the Nintendo 64.

8: November 2005, Two infants named Drew and Bryn Kleinmark drowned in a bathtub which was unattended for 30 minutes while Gregg J Kleinmark played on his Game Boy Advance.

9: New Mexico woman named Rebecca Colleen Christie was arrested for second degree murder. She allowed her 3 and a half year old daughter slip away due to malnutrition and dehydration while playing on World of Warcraft.

10 : November 2001, Shawn Woolley, commited suicide due to a betrayal from a gamer named "Iluvyou" on the popular game Everquest.

11: October 2007, Ohio teen Daniel Petric shot and murdered his parents for taking away his copy of Halo 3.

12: 2010, Jacksonville, Florida, Alexandra Tobias shook her baby to death for interrupting her FarmVille game.

13: November 2012, South Philadelpha, Kendall Anderson 16, killed his mother for taking away his PlayStation. With a claw hammer while she was asleep.

14: Chris Staniforth, 20 years of age passed away from playing his games for up to 12 hours at a time. The incident was caused by deep vein thrombosis.

15 :A 15 year old Vietnamese boy lured his innocent 7 year old neighbour into the jungle to pick fruit. He then attacked her with a rock resulting in her death to steal her gold earrings. He needed the money to pay for an online game.

16 : Shannon Johnson, 34 has been arrested for leaving her one year old son drown in a bathtub while playing on Facebook games.

17: A dad has been jailed for five years for murdering his newborn daughter by throwing her down onto a padded changing mat because her crying interrupted his game.

18: A teen was accused of killing a 7 year old girl while acting out the video game "Mortal Kombat".

19: Rene Edward Barrios was accused of killing a new born baby because the child interrupted his video game. After attacking the 18 day old infant he resumed his gaming.

Okay I am now going to go and watch an hour of Family Guy just to cheer me up before I resume anymore writing. I can see how these incidents are linked to video game obsession but I must say that a lot of these events could have been avoided with better parenting and better lifestyle decisions.

I love my gaming like many other people however I also love my sleep, oh and food.
