Nich Angell is the genius behind the 7String series. Now we're talking full-comic-package here ladies and gentlemen he is both writer and artist, oh and probably super hero by night. Recommended by Jon Lock I had to check this dude out. Nich has been drawing comics for a long while now and has been an exhibitor at cons for six years! That's some pretty hefty experience under his belt.

7String is his main baby which he spent a long time drawing and scripting but what he loves more than that is building fictional worlds. Nich has spent a lot of time on his work and his end result is an entire universe in which he can play with in any way he wants. The thought that goes into his project is clear once you talk to this guy. His description of his projects is mesmerising(in a good way of course). This is a man which when speaks, the excitement and enthusiasm soars through the room.

But Nich has studied long and hard to get him where he is today. Drawing all his life and studying illustration at university he managed to secure a job role in the industry working for 'Titan Comics'. Working professional for the last 3 years he stands by the morale that story is the most crucial part to any comic or novel.

Although Nich does a lot of commission work and works as a technician at a high school, I was lucky enough to have a showcase of his proudest work. On display he had 7String which has just got published by 'Zeta Comics' and will be available in the next few weeks. '7String' is an Epic Sci-Fi Fantasy Adventure set in the world of music. It features the adventures of a boy with a guitar sword(yes you read that right). 7String racks up an impressive 350 pages which will be separated in 3 graphic novels and we can't wait!

On display was a wealth of gorgeous prints which had various different topics including an awesome transformers design! He also gave us an insight on his online web series called 'Cat And Merange' in which he draws simple single strips every day. "It's always light hearted and funny. I wanted something which everyone can enjoy" Make sure you guys check it out.

With our session coming to a finish I asked Nich for some advice for all the newbies out there. The man behind 7String says "They are obvious tips however I draw every single day. I never stop working on my project and when I do I'm thinking about it. Make sure you go to cons and talk to others to get your name out there. Also be critical although never be over critical." Good Advice.
