Microsoft to reveal Xbox 720 in April
The new Xbox will be revealed for the first time in a one-off event in April, it is being claimed.
CVG says it has word from “a growing number of developers and other industry professionals, some of which are Sony employees”.
However, with GDC in March, an April reveal would perhaps seem a little late for Microsoft, especially as it won’t want developers shouting loud and proud about their PS4 projects while Xbox 720 is kept behind closed doors.
CVG adds that Sony’s surprise PS4 reveal this week “caught Microsoft off-guard” and “definitely ruffled some feathers”.
Whatever happens, it certainly seems unlikely that Microsoft will wait until E3 in June to lift the curtain on its next-gen plans.
