Telltale Teases For New Walking Dead Content
You Won't Have To wait For Season Two For More Walking Dead
Telltale Games is working on new content for The Walking Dead independent of the franchise’s upcoming second season.
IGN reports that series writer Gary Whitta hinted at the additional content during a recent episode of Up At Noon.
"You won't have to wait for season two to play more Walking Dead," teased Whitta.
"I can tell you what you already know, which is season two is coming. There’s not much to say because it really is very early…it’s a way off," said Whitta. "But, knowing that it’s a way off, and knowing that people are hungry for more walking Dead…there may very well be more Walking Dead from Telltale before season two. We may have a little something extra for you between season one and two.”
Whitta added that what Telltale is working on "will make the wait for season two slightly less agonizing."
The tease doesn’t exclude the original season’s involvement, so (taking a blind stab) we may be looking at some sort of bonus content related to The Walking Dead Season One.
The Walking Dead sold 8.5m episodes during its first season, with mobile representing the best performing platform for the series.
